Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Bumbler Interactive LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Cascade mobile application (the "App," "Service").
By creating an account or using Cascade, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create a Cascade account, we collect: - Email address - Authentication data (if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a unique identifier and, where provided, your name and email from that provider) - Encrypted password (if signing up via email — we never store your password in plain text)
1.2 App Content You Provide
- Habits and checklists you create, including titles, categories, and frequency
- Completion data — which habits/tasks you mark complete and on what dates
- Journal entries you write within the App (for example, reflections tied to high-completion days)
We treat journal entries as sensitive content. We do not read, review, or analyze the substance of your journal entries for any purpose other than displaying them back to you, unless required to investigate abuse, comply with law, or you explicitly request our support team's help with an issue involving that content.
1.3 Subscription and Payment Information
If you subscribe to a paid tier, payment is processed by the Apple App Store (via Apple In-App Purchase) or the Google Play Store (via Google Play Billing), depending on which platform you use. We do not collect or store your full payment card details. We receive only your subscription status (active, expired, tier) from the payment processor.
If a free trial is offered, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period and you will be charged according to your chosen plan, unless you cancel before the trial ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Account subscription settings.
1.4 Automatically Collected Information
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- Crash logs and diagnostic data, to help us fix bugs
We do not currently collect precise location data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: - Create and maintain your account - Sync your habits, checklists, and journal entries across your devices - Process and manage your subscription - Send you service-related communications (e.g., password resets, subscription confirmations) - Diagnose technical issues and improve the App - Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. How Your Information Is Stored and Processed
Cascade is built on Emergent, an application development platform. Our backend infrastructure uses: - MongoDB Atlas for database storage - United States as the primary hosting location
These providers act as data processors on our behalf and are contractually and technically responsible for securing the infrastructure on which your data resides. We do not control their internal security practices beyond the terms of our agreement with them, but we select providers that maintain industry-standard security measures.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (such as encryption in transit) to protect your data, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We share limited data with the following categories of service providers, solely to operate the App:
| Provider Type | Purpose | Data Shared |
|---|---|---|
| MongoDB Atlas | Database hosting | Account and app content data |
| Apple / Google (Sign-In) | Authentication | Unique identifier, name/email (if you choose these sign-in methods) |
| Payment Processor (Apple App Store / Google Play Store) | Subscription billing | Subscription status only — not full payment details |
These providers are only permitted to use your data to provide services to us, not for their own independent purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and app data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data (including journal entries) within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: - Access the personal data we hold about you - Correct inaccurate data - Delete your account and associated data - Export your data in a portable format - Withdraw consent for optional data uses (e.g., analytics), where applicable
To exercise these rights, contact us at rippleheadquarters@gmail.com.
California Residents
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information.
EU/UK Residents
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. (Cascade is currently launching for a United States audience; if we later expand to actively offer the App to EU/UK users, this section will be updated with our legal basis for processing and EU representative details.)
7. Children's Privacy
Cascade is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA/UK, where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the App or by email before the changes take effect.
